Eligibility criteria

Pingouin Car Rental is on the look out for bold and determined entrepreneurs who already have a car rental business or who want to offer such a car rental service.

These individuals must demonstrate a strong commitment to the development and expansion of the Pingouin Car Rental brand. Most importantly, you must be committed to providing first class service to customers.

Based on our past experience, we have developed a set of requirements that new franchisees must meet to maximize their chances of success. To be accepted, all future franchisees must meet the following criteria:

Be customer-focused:

Able to provide
high quality service to the customer

Own an independent car rental agency
or be an entrepreneur
willing to invest time and money

Have the required capital resources

L’attitude

Tout franchiseur présume qu’une fois franchisé(e), vous vous comporterez de la même manière que lorsque vous présentez votre candidature. Il ou elle étudiera votre comportement pendant votre candidature. Il ou elle se posera un certain nombre de questions : « Est-ce que vous êtes une personne sérieuse ? Êtes-vous concentré(e) sur ce que vous faites ? Travaillez-vous avec diligence ? Avez-vous un bon sens du relationnel ou est-ce compliqué de traiter avec vous ? Pouvez-vous fixer des objectifs et les atteindre ? Pouvez-vous prendre une décision lorsqu’il le faut ? ». Ce sont des qualités qu’on retrouve chez les bons franchisés, et le franchiseur recherchera ces qualités chez vous.

Compétences et expérience

Pratiquement toutes les opportunités de franchise exigent ces compétences de leurs franchisés. Avez-vous des compétences solides en matière de leadership ? Quelle est votre expérience professionnelle ? Et dans quels secteurs ? Avez-vous déjà géré avec efficacité des employés (ou d’autres groupes similaires tels que des enfants) dans le passé ? Avez-vous de bonnes compétences en communication ? Puisqu’un(e) franchisé(e) sera le chef d’orchestre de l’entreprise, ces caractéristiques lui sont essentielles.

Compétences spécifiques

C’est la catégorie qui est en général moins importante à la réussite du ou de la franchisé(e). Vous pensez peut-être que c’est un avantage de connaître déjà une certaine méthode de travail dans le secteur en question, mais c’est généralement tout le contraire. De nombreux franchiseurs estiment qu’il est beaucoup plus difficile de faire oublier aux franchisés des compétences spécifiques qui ne font pas partie de leur système que d’enseigner les compétences nécessaires à une personne sans expérience dans leur secteur. Ils préfèrent avoir une ardoise vierge, bien qu’il y ait certainement quelques exceptions à cette règle.
